For teens and tweens, 11 to 18. Space is limited, arrive a few minutes early.
Do you enjoy telling stories with words and pictures?
Have you ever wanted to create your own comic?
If the answer is YES, join us and Kelly Froh who will teach us to create a six- or nine-panel comic page!
We’ll provide the supplies and snacks. No experience necessary. Just bring yourself and willingness to experiment and get creative. If you have a favorite pen or pencil, or keep a sketchbook or journal, bring it with you!
Kelly is a comic artist and Executive Director of the Short Run Comix Festival in Seattle. Kelly’s comics are inspired by her own life experiences and have appeared in The Seattle Weekly, The Seattle Review of Books, The Stranger, and The Women’s Review of Books; she has self-published over 60 zines and mini-comics.
The program is part of Sno-Isle Libraries Summer Reading and supported by the Friends of the Marysville Library.
