Axe of Kindness - Food Drive and Fundraiser

We’re getting ready for Axe of Kindness — a colorful, messy, community art project and food drive happening July 19th at Riverside Park!
Here’s how it works: we’ve got sponge axes (yes, really) and a giant canvas. You bring a food donation or funds, and you get to throw some paint and be part of the art. All ages welcome.
We’re teaming up with Reed Creek Nature Park, who’ll be hosting a live reptile showcase, and Augusta Outdoors, who are supporting the event and offering kayak rentals while you’re there.
Come out where we mix fun, creativity, and giving back — and learn more about what Community Works is all about.
✅ Volunteer roles needed:
• Setup support: 9:00 - 10am / 2:00pm - 3:00pm time slots
• Station volunteers during the event 10:00 am - Noon / Noon - 2:00 pm time slots
• Help spreading the word — invite friends and family! See attached graphic
