July 28-30, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
In this three-day experience, we’ll introduce you to the world of digital art and animation, and you will learn how to make a short animated video using simple materials (paper, varied art media, cell phone cameras and more). Our project will be inspired by artists’ works on view in the museum – students will create animated monsters to save the world using special super powers.
Each participant will story board, sketch, create, and direct a personal short animation. Students are encouraged to bring a cell phone as a tool to use at the camp if available. Museum of Art + Light Instructors: Sydney Bouhaniche & Kristy Peterson.
Parents must complete a waiver as part of the registration process for each student to participate.
For students entering grades 5-8.
$200 per student (museum members 10% off). Capacity 15 students.
