Join us on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM for a presentation by Lakota historian, author, and university instructor Donovin Sprague.
As we near the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Greasy Grass (Little Bighorn) in 2026, Donovin will guide us through this pivotal moment in history—from a Lakota perspective. He’ll also share exciting updates on recent archaeological findings, the construction of a new visitor center at the Little Bighorn National Battlefield Monument, and recent land acquisitions by Native American tribes within the monument itself.
Donovin was born and raised on the Cheyenne River Reservation and is a direct descendant of Chief Hump and Crazy Horse. He’s taught across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and he brings history to life in a way that’s meaningful, respectful, and deeply personal.
Event is FREE and open to the public in the Journey Theater.
