Watercolor Workshop: Painting Peonies

Join us for a relaxing and inspiring watercolor workshop where you’ll learn to paint beautiful peonies step by step! Perfect for beginners and those with some painting experience, this class will guide you through essential watercolor techniques including washes, layering, and blending to create delicate, lifelike florals. We’ll begin with a brief overview of materials and basic watercolor methods, followed by guided instruction. Along the way, you’ll learn tips for mixing colors, creating depth with light and shadow, and capturing the softness of petals with fluid brushwork. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and curiosity! You’ll leave with your own finished floral painting and the confidence to keep exploring watercolor on your own. Led by Alison Odle, a versatile local artist and instructor. She studied Fine Arts at Mass College of Art.
