AUDITIONS: The Play That Goes Wrong
Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields
Directed by Shawn Fuller
Open Auditions: July 13 & 14 | 7:00 pm
Callbacks by invitation: July 15 | 7:00 pm
Welcome to opening night of the Cornley Drama Society's newest production where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. The 1920's whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show - an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can't play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences!
Come to the auditions ready to move and do cold readings from the script. The Play That Goes Wrong is a farce, a fast and funny play with roles for 8-12 actors, at least 2 of whom are women and at least 4 of whom are men; other roles are nongender specific, ages 18-60. Must be physically able to do physical comedy, safely.
Show runs September 12th through the 28th, 2025. Please come prepared to note any conflicts.
