Art for the Ages: Small Quilts Sewing Workshop
Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation warmly invites you to our upcoming Art for the Ages workshop, where community members, especially those 60 and older can explore creativity, tradition, and cultural connection through art. This event is Free and open to all and includes a free vegetarian lunch.
Guided by Local Artist Jessica Robin McClendon
Jessica Robin McClendon is a maker, designer, teacher, and textile enthusiast based in Northwest Arkansas. With a background in theater and a degree from the University of Arkansas, Jessica’s passion for sewing and creating grew during her time working at a costume shop. She has since built a career crafting unique items, including hand-embroidered messenger bags, velveteen bunnies, and custom clothing, as well as creating quilts and exploring various forms of handwork. Over the past three years, Jessica has taught sewing classes at multiple levels, guiding over one hundred students in creating clothing for Interform’s NWA Fashion Week. She values the shared experience of working with one’s hands and the connections it fosters.
