Join us on July 3rd after the fireworks with Harsh at 9pm. Free show!
Harsh, formerly known as Harsh Armadillo, is a genre-bending six-piece band based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Known for their electrifying live performances and infectious energy, Harsh fuses funk, soul, hip-hop, and jazz into a sound that’s as dynamic as it is danceable. The band originally formed in 2013 when a group of University of New Hampshire students came together to write, record, and perform under the name Harsh Armadillo. Their early work, including the debut album …Thayer It Is, was rooted in jam-based grooves and DIY spirit, recorded primarily in a rural barn-turned-studio.
In 2023, the group evolved—rebranding as simply Harsh and adding powerhouse vocalists Adrienne Mack-Davis and Sig Shalome to the lineup. This marked a new era of focused songwriting, tighter arrangements, and a more refined sound. Their self-titled EP, released in 2024, showcases this shift with four tracks that are confident, soulful, and rhythmically bold. With deep New England roots and a commitment to growth, Harsh continues to push forward—bringing fresh energy to every stage they hit.
