About the Author
JT Habersaat is a writer and longtime touring comedian known for his sharp observational style and punk ethos. Dubbed the "Godfather of Punk Rock Comedy" by Chicago Now, he is the author of the acclaimed tour diary Killing For A Living, and his latest book, Doing Time: Comedians Talk Stand-Up, will be released worldwide by Jawbone Press in 2025.

A prolific voice in alt-comedy and underground culture, JT has shared stages with legends like Henry Rollins and Lydia Lunch, and performed at major festivals across North America. He also curates the Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas, named one of Vulture’s top comedy festivals worldwide.

When not writing or touring, JT channels his creative energy into custom art, with pieces held by John Carpenter, Patton Oswalt, and The Kids in the Hall. He lives for bourbon, cats, and long stretches of quiet.
