Oslo Flaneur Festival (O.F.F.) 2025 presents:
OSLO URBAN CRUMBS – MISS.PRINTED & HELLO THE MUSHROOM

Full program: www.flaneurfestival.no

This project is a collaboration between the Norway-based artists Miss.Printed and Hello the Mushroom and explores the intersection of street art and walking as a form of creative engagement with public space.

Participants are invited on a guided walk to discover small, non-invasive installations—playful, hand-crafted figures—discreetly placed throughout the area by the artists. These works act as gentle surprises for passersby, adding moments of delight and human connection to the urban experience.

At the heart of the project is the magic of discovery: stumbling upon something unexpected that momentarily disrupts the fast pace of city life. The figures function as urban “Easter eggs,” intended to spark curiosity, joy, or introspection.

The figures are made primarily of paper, combining Miss.Printed’s vintage black-and-white magazine collages with Hello the Mushroom’s whimsical, colorful characters. Each was installed intuitively, based on location and context. The walk itself reveals the outcome of this process—inviting reflection through movement, observation, and shared exploration.

Miss.Printed is a Norwegian-based artist bridging the space between collage and street art. Originally from the Netherlands, she began her creative journey at Knust (part of ArtHouse Extrapool), where she worked extensively with mimeograph printing. Since relocating to rural Norway in 2007, she has developed a distinctive practice she calls Locative Collage—creating small paper collages and photographing them outdoors in natural, often challenging conditions. She embraces the elements—wind, fire, water, snow, and sky—as collaborators, and never uses digital editing.

Her work explores themes such as climate change, habitat loss, and war, offering quiet yet powerful reflections left in public spaces for others to encounter. Miss.Printed believes in the transformative potential of small gestures and aims to spark curiosity, reflection, and joy through her art.

Miss.Printed continues to inspire others to do locative collage from her red house on a Norwegian mountainside, and sings out loud when they let her know.

Hello the Mushroom is the pseudonym of Sara Lucas, a multidisciplinary artist from Lisbon, currently based in Oslo by way of London.

HTM is interested in transforming existing materials and utilizing objects that would otherwise be discarded, using mostly found materials and imagery. These works cover meaningful themes to the artist: ageism, gender roles, and visibility, often with a tongue-in-cheek approach.

Hello the Mushroom has exhibited and participated in events worldwide, including the Saatchi Gallery in London, and has collaborated with the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, where one of their money art pieces is in the permanent collection.

They have participated in street art festivals such as NuArt Festival (Stavanger), Hands Off the Wall (Vienna and Germany), Løkka Lykke Street Art Festival (Oslo), and the London International Paste-Up Festival.

HTM is also a guest teacher at DTK Kunstfagskolen i Bærum in Fornebu, Norway.
