Come learn Bachata with visiting instructor Luke!
A lovely and more relaxed latin dance.. The bachata style of music developed in the 1960's, influenced heavily by pan-Latin American and Afro-cuban music. The dance evolved with the music, drawing heavily from a mixture of Bolero and Merengue. Fun and easy to learn! No experience necessary! Partner welcome but not required!
Luke Moyou's dance journey began with tap dancing in 2011, which laid the foundation for my rhythm and musicality. Over the past six years, since 2019, Luke has specialized in Salsa and Bachata in Florida, developing a deep passion for Latin dance. Luke has had the opportunity to perform numerous times at Salsa and Bachata conventions, showcasing my growth and love for the art. In addition to performing, Luke has taught dance in a high school setting and led beginner Bachata & Salsa classes in Florida at the local "Salsa Heat" studio in Melbourne, FL. Sharing his knowledge and helping others find joy through dance has been one of the most rewarding parts of his journey. Luke continues to train, perform, and teach, always aiming to inspire others through movement.
