This event was formerly known as Christmas in July (and recently The Birthday Party) and was held each year at Grace Park. This year, we’re just moving down the street a bit so we can all stay cool and comfortable inside The Greek Church!

Akron Snow Angels, in partnership with Gavin Scott Salon & Spa, Tangier Catering & Annunciation Akron Greek Orthodox Church is proud to bring you our biggest summer outreach event yet: Hope in the Heat.

🎨 Face Painting by Bella & Friends
🎒 School Supplies donated by 100 Girls Strong
🧼 Toiletries and hygiene items from multiple community donors
🩸 Period Products from Junior League Akron
✂️ Haircuts by professional stylists Gavin Scott
👕 Clothing and shoes (as available)
💉 Summit County Public Health - Project Dawn on site with harm reduction products
📚 Books donated by Friends of Ellet Library
🩺 Medical professionals on site (we’re working to confirm services)
🎶 Music, community connection, and lots of love

🎯 What You Need to Know:
• Doors open at 1:00 PM
• First come, first served. Get in line.
• We’re preparing for 300 guests – come early to make sure you get what you need!
• INDOORS this year to keep you cool and out of the sun though the line will be outside before doors open.
