Meet Marianne Hansen (21) and Maureen van IJzerloo (21), a talented piano duo that has been making music together since a young age. They discovered quatre-mains under the guidance of Stéphane De May and continued their artistic development at the conservatory in Rotterdam, under the mentorship of Nino Gvetadze. Additionally, they regularly attend masterclasses with renowned pianist Wibi Soerjadi.

In this concert, Marianne and Maureen will take the audience on a musical journey, where time seems to stand still. The theme of the concert is Dance and Fantasies. The duo will perform works such as Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre, Schubert's Fantasie, and Ravel's fairytale suite Ma Mère L'Oye.

Marianne and Maureen’s playing is characterized by a subtle and refined touch, yet it also contains great power and expressiveness. Thanks to their attention to detail and dedication to the music, this duo consistently surprises and moves the audience.

This concert is part of their “Fantasy Concert Tour’, through which they share their love for classical music with a wide audience.

Quote in Dutch:

~ Wibi Soerjadi
