Deep Dive into Underwater Rugby

Following the success of last term's beginners sessions, we're doing it again! Swims, dives, fitness, friends, games, ball skills, goals, old face and new all welcome.

7:45pm gear up
8pm-9pm session

We will provide spare fins, snorkels and caps - BYO gear if you have any, otherwise, just bring yourself.

Cost: $ZERO including FREE entry to the pool (say Underwater Rugby at reception)

Underwater rugby is a fast paced, three-dimensional team sport where players jostle underwater to get the ball into a basket at the bottom of the pool. Underwater rugby is traditionally played in a 5m deep pool, however, UNSW also play in a 2m and 4m deep pool.
Each team has 6 players in the water: 2 forwards, 2 defenders and 2 goalies. Each player wears a mask, snorkel and fins.

Come see how we play the game, we'll help you with the basics - swimming with fins, holding your breath, diving (only 2m deep), passing the ball around, scoring on the basket.
