Since then, Christina has helped lead statewide efforts to reduce plastic pollution, including a balloon litter study, a marine debris monitoring program, and the Keep It Beachy Clean campaign. She also co-founded the Virginia Plastic Pollution Prevention Network and played a key role in the successful effort to ban balloon releases in Virginia.
