Beginning Hand Sewing: Running Stitch Flow

Elizabeth Martin, of Tiny Art Garage, teaches the quiet art of hand stitching in this workshop designed for beginners, and welcoming to repeat attenders to further your practice. You’ll learn to thread a needle, a starting and ending knot, practice an even running stitch, and let yourself loosen up and fall into the flow as you stitch, stitch, stitch. Bring a little hand traced on paper (like pictured), or another design, to highlight in the negative space of your stitching. Grab your sewing kit if you have one, or you can buy one at the shop ($10 ), or borrow our tools. Enjoy learning slow stitching around our table with friends new and old!
