Foundational Crop Scouting Training - Arlington

We invite anyone looking for basic scout skills along with those working for crop consultants, industry agronomists, or ag service providers throughout Wisconsin to join us for Foundational Crop Scouting Training: https://cropsandsoils.extension.wisc.edu/foundational.../

With today’s tight margins, proper crop scouting helps farmers detect pests early, make informed and cost-effective decisions, and optimize yields. This program will give participants take-home skills in:
-Soil, tissue, and insect sampling techniques
-Identifying weeds, diseases, and insect pests in forage and field crop systems
-Understanding nutrient deficiency symptoms, crop stand counts, crop staging

There are three Crop Scouting Training Field Days this summer, all field days will have the same content. Lancaster: June 18, Arlington: June 26, and Marshfield: June 27. The session will be half-day sessions. The cost of this training is $25.00 and will include lunch.
