In these busy times with so many distractions, it's increasingly difficult to stop the mind and relax into the current moment.
Most of us know that meditation would be good for us. We know it would be great, not only for us, but also for the people around us if we were a more peaceful, positive and happy person. But it can be hard to know where to start, how to make progress and how to get into the habit of meditation.

At this beginners meditation retreat, Buddhist teacher Chae Lindeman will teach three meditations all designed to help you relax your mind.
The first meditation, Inner peace is a simple breathing meditation that helps to disengage the mind from the busyness of everyday life and creates a special feeling of inner peace.
The second meditation, Pure light is a meditation that combines mindfulness of the breath with visualisation, or creative imagination, and leads to a deep feeling of inner calm and purity.
The final meditation, Inspiration is a very special breathing meditation that combines mindfulness of the breath with the recitation of mantra.
