This workshop is designed to support our mental and emotional well-being by getting us to slow down, practice mindfulness and keep providing high quality access for the Deaf community.
𧡠Create a unique reversible bag β pot-luck style!
This mindful, creative experience focuses on slow stitching by hand rather than machine sewing, encouraging relaxation and intentional making.
π Half-Day Workshop (3 hours)
Each participant will receive a paper bag kit from Clair, containing:
A reusable pattern with instructions (to remake or finish at home)
Pre-cut outer fabric matched to the bag pattern
Pre-cut lining fabric
Bag strapping
πΏ All materials are upcycled β sourced from op-shops, donations, and saved-from-landfill upholstery fabrics.
Clair will also bring shared supplies for the group to use, including:

Cotton and embroidery threads (for optional embellishments)
Needles, pins, scissors, iron, and ironing mat
You'll walk away not only with a beautiful, functional bag β but also with the skills and inspiration to continue this mindful practice at home.
