Walk & Talk Book Club

The Walk & Talk Book Club will meet on July 15 at 6:00 pm at Victor Park to discuss "City of Night Birds" by Juhea Kim. Participants will listen to the book via Playaways or the Libby App. We will gather to walk the trail at Victor Park on the 15th, and discuss the book at Roosevelt Park Gazebo, where we will end up from the trail. The meeting will move to the Community Activity Center if the weather is poor. In "City of Night Birds," former prima ballerina Natalia Leonova returns to St. Petersburg after a career-stalling accident. Struggling with addiction, she confronts her past, including her complex relationships with her mother, father, and two dancers: Alexander, her great love, and Dmitri, a dangerous talent. When offered a chance to return to the stage, Natalia revisits her painful history and reclaims her art.
