Join Dr. Sarah Bennison, professor at NYU, social impact leader and co-founder of the Mattering Movement, for a conversation about the epidemic of anxiety, loneliness and depression and how we can combat today's widespread mattering deficit. Dr. Bennison will share tools and skill to build meaningful communities, to buffer stress and anxiety, and to make a positive impact on the world.

SARAH BENNISON is a professor at NYU, scholar, activist, and social entrepreneur. A historian of education, she focuses on 19th-century American women’s history, religious history, and the American West. She began her teaching career in NYC Public Schools and has taught in K–12 and higher ed for 30 years. She founded the Trinity School Office of Public Service and the social-good sleepwear brand BennisonGives. She is co-founder and CEO of the Mattering Movement, exploring achievement culture and the science of mattering. She holds degrees from Smith College, Columbia University, Columbia Teachers College, and a Ph.D. from NYU.
