Join us for an afternoon of captivating stories about fantastical adventures and monstrous creatures, followed by a fun introduction to the classic tabletop role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons, led by Dungeon Master Rachel Dowty Beech. In your first foray into the world of D&D, you will learn the basic rules of embodying a character and working together to fight dragons and solve mysteries.
Story time will appeal to kids of all ages, but the D&D intro session will be most appropriate for ages 7-12. For younger children, we will have dragon and magic-themed crafts and play time. Open to the public; all materials will be provided. Suggested donation of $15 per child to help support the program, but all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
Reading And⦠is a literacy-rich summer series for kids at Snowfort, every Thursday from 3pm-5pm, starting June 26 and going through August 14. Guest presenters will engage children by reading wonderful books and then leading a fun and educational thematic activity. The events are open to the public, with all materials provided. We ask for a small donation to help support the program, but welcome all to participate regardless of their ability to contribute. We also thank our Snowfort Circle members for their support, which helps make such programming possible.
