Walk & Talk - Hākarimata Trapline Tour

Come out to the beautiful Hākarimata Ranges for the afternoon to Tour the land owner driven 'Morepork Action Group's' restoration project. MAG have planted over x6000 native trees and eradicated over x5000 introduced predators in their first x4 years of mahi. Learn about the MAG team and how they have also been part of helping re-form the 'Haakarimata Restoration Trust', a community-driven initiative dedicated to restoring and conserving the ecology of Hakarimata and surrounding areas, including nearby Ngāruawāhia and Glen Massey.

Walk their stream trapline (1.5hrs), enjoy the bush, and meet or catch up with other passionate trappers. This one’s all about getting together for a walk and a good yarn. (Moderate level of fitness required, minimal hills but some slippery tracks in winter).
