As part of the Water Music New York: More Voices Festival, the Seneca Falls Historical Society hosts Seneca County Historian Pam Becker for a program at the Seneca Falls Community Center. In conjunction with the Albany Symphony Orchestra's event that celebrates the bicentennial of the Erie Canal, Becker will share a presentation titled "The Houses on the Flats: From There to Here," which discusses the transformation of the Cayuga & Seneca Canal in the 1910s. This transformation involved demolishing some of the homes in the neighborhood known as the Flats while moving other homes elsewhere in the village. From 1 to 6 p.m. that same day, you can visit the Seneca Falls Historical Society's table at the street fair in Bonafiglia Park to learn more about our events, programs, offerings, and history.
