Basic Printmaking

This class will give students the skills and knowledge they need to make prints at home using inexpensive and readily available tools and materials. We will start by cutting linoleum (and other materials) to make relief prints then we will move on to drypoint etchings. If time allows we will explore collagraph printing.

We will use traditional materials, unconventional materials and even recycled materials to produce printing plates. We will print with hand tools, homemade presses, inexpensive press alternatives and a full sized studio press.

A materials list will be provided. Expect to pay $100 to $150 for materials.

This class is limited to 6 students.
