Walking, weeding, and mulching at McCollum Park

Forest Stewardship - McCollum Park on Sunday, March 23, 12 - 3 PM.
It's that time again! Last winter, volunteers installed 95 plants at McCollum Park in addition to our plantings from '22 and '23. Now it's time to finish spreading mulch onto our planting areas so that the soil retains moisture and nutrients through the anticipated hot summer.
Want to help lead this project? Apply to become a Forest Steward online using the link in our bio, attend the Forest Steward Orientation in Snohomish on March 19, or send an email to aGVhbHRoeWZvcmVzdCB8IHNub2NvICEgb3Jn.
Please wear long sleeves and long pants that you don't mind getting dirty, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring a full water bottle and a snack. Hand tools and gloves will be provided, but you may bring your own if you wish. Remember to bring rain gear if rain is in the forecast.
