"The Importance of Being Socially Engaged and Active" - ACAP Hall County

ACAP Hall County is hosting a free educational program titled "The Importance of Being Socially Engaged and Active" on Tuesday, July 8th at 10:00am.

The program will be held at Legacy Link, located at 4080 Mundy Mill Road, Oakwood, GA 30566

Many challenges faced in older adulthood lead to loneliness and social isolation.

During this presentation, the relationship between social engagement, health, and well-being, and the importance of keeping your loved ones socially engaged will be discussed. The role of leisure/recreation and community engagement in the process of healthy aging will be highlighted, and how to find community programs, events, and resources both in your community and online will also be shared.

Program Presenter: Stacey J. Hoffman, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist and Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Brenau University.
