Gravois Trail Encampment: The Watch at Jefferson Barracks
Join us for an unforgettable experience at Jefferson Barracks Park as Scouts from across the Gravois Trail District gather for The Watch at Jefferson Barracks—a unique encampment built around service, remembrance, and exploration.
From Wednesday evening, July 23 through the morning of Sunday, July 27, Scouts and Scouters are invited to camp at the historic stables on-site, serve in rotating overnight shifts of 2 hour blocks (6 p.m.–6 a.m.) as volunteers at The Wall That Heals Traveling Vietnam Memorial, and take part in a meaningful lineup of interpretive history hikes, museum visits, and other engaging activities that connect the past to the present.
This is a rare opportunity for youth to actively honor the legacy of those who served, while learning from the deep historical roots of Jefferson Barracks—one of the nation’s oldest and most storied military posts.
This Event is for ScoutsBSA, Venturing and Sea Scout Units.
Those attending are responsible for their own leadership, equipment and meals during The Watch.
Limited trailer parking available. No Ground Fires.
