Beyond the Book

Beyond the Book, a small group sponsored by United Women in Faith, invites you to gather with them in the Library for food, fun and fellowship on the fourth Saturday of each month. On Saturday, July 26, at 10:00 a.m., they will discuss “Beautiful Country,” by Qian Julie Yang. Seven-year-old Qian arrives in New York City in 1994 full of curiosity but is overwhelmed by crushing fear and scarcity. In China, Qian’s parents were professors.
