Songs for a New World

The first musical from Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, Parade, and Bridges of Madison County), this moving collection of songs examines life, love, and the consequences of our choices. In this production, 4 people are in a group therapy meeting, and the songs are the vehicle by which they reveal their inner struggles and dreams to one another. Each song is a window into different phases of the characters' lives, those moments that crack us open so we can finally see a way out of the cycle of our own trauma. In sharing the stories of their darkest moments, these 4 characters find that in the end, all they really needed to move forward was for someone to “hear their song”.
