Join The Carbon Community at Glandwr Forest for a day of Community Science Volunteering as part of Wales Nature Week!
Glandwr Forest is home to the Glandwr Forest Carbon Study which aims to accelerate and enhance the sequestration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in trees and soil to tackle the climate crisis. This unique field trial looks at forest microbiome inoculation and enhanced rock weathering in a study involving 25,600 trees.
Our Community Science Volunteering program brings people into the heart of the research. On Saturday 12th July we will be checking stakes and tags as part of the work to maintain the on-the-ground integrity of this large-scale field trial.
The Carbon Community will provide, snacks, drinks and lunch!
