🧪 Free Lead Testing at the Back-to-School Fair!

Wondering if your favorite mug, dish, or hand-me-down toy might contain lead? Bring it in and let us help you find out! The Nevada Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (NvCLPPP) will be offering free, on-the-spot screening using an XRF analyzer—a handheld tool that safely scans solid items for lead without damage or mess.


✅ What can be tested on-site:
✔️ Dishes (ceramic, glazed, metal)
✔️ Toys (especially vintage or painted)
✔️ Jewelry and trinkets
✔️ Keys
✔️ Spices (must be ground and in a small bag or container)


⚠️ What we can’t test on-site:
⛔ Lotions, gels, or liquid cosmetics (XRF cannot analyze these effectively)
