Peter’s Day

On Sunday, June 29, at 11am,the National Doukhobor Heritage Village will be celebrating Peter's Day! This yearly celebration commemorates the 1895 Burning of Arms, where Doukhobors laid down their weapons and lit them on fire to reject militarism and show their commitment to non-violence.

Everyone is welcome to attend! There will be a prayer service starting at 11am, followed by a picnic lunch. All guests are asked to please bring a bagged lunch with them.
