The Heritage Seed Library: Grown in the past, sown for the future

We welcome Catrina Fenton, Head of The Heritage Seed Library. Catrina’s team is made up of staff and volunteers working at the headquarters in Ryton, Warwickshire, in an organic demonstration garden and out in communities and back gardens across the UK – www.gardenorganic.org.uk

She manages the UK’s national, living collection of heritage vegetable varieties, and oversees finding, conserving and sharing this important biodiversity and the seed saving skills that safeguard them. Always amazed and excited when a seedling appears, she shares the pleasant astonishment that never goes away and keeps all of us gardeners coming back each season.
