As a mental health and wellbeing service, we feel that it is important to encourage conversations and enjoy fun activities together as a family. So, Compass Be have arranged a FREE Summer event to encourage this for all families - our staff included!
Our service also offers a bereavement service and therefore the day will have activities linked to supporting this and encouraging βmemory makingβ.
When someone important dies in a child's or young person's life the impact can be really tough, as everyone around them is likely to be struggling too. In grief, alongside the really normal feelings of disbelief, sadness, possibly relief and anger, it is especially important to engage in restorative activities that keep life normal in small ways and provide relief from the intensity and disruption of feelings a death brings; for children and young people that's why play is so important, in all its forms!
So .. save the date and join us this Summer at Locke Park Barnsley for a day filled with fun, games and activities for all the family!
