Introduction to Buddhist Meditation.

You may be completely new to meditation or have some experience, either from a different tradition or from a meditation app.
In this introductory class you will be introduced to the two primary meditation practices of the Buddhist tradition: the mindfulness of breathing (Anapanasati); and the cultivation of loving kindness (Mettabhavana).
This is a drop in class not a course and the two practices will alternate each week.
Each week there will be detailed introductory instructions aimed at learning the basic practices, posture, timing and how to establish an effective meditation practice.
If you already have some experience this class can refresh and assist the development of depth and consistency in your meditation practices.
Each week we will explore aspects that support meditation both on and off the cushion.
You are welcome to come as often as you can.

Venue: Hoole Community centre, Hoole, Chester.
Cost: £10 waged and £5 concessions.
