Come and create a ceramic Pumpkin or a set of three small pumpkins at Periwinkle & Clay.
If you choose to make one large pumpkin, you can make it into a lantern, or you can decide to make a set of three more miniature pumpkins. This is a hand-building clay workshop where you will make, sculpt and decorate your pumpkin with the team's guidance. It will then be finished at the studio, ready for you to collect 2-3 weeks later. Should you wish for a lustre (shiny) glaze to be added, this will be an additional £10 charge, and will take a little longer for collection.
Once your making session is complete, you'll leave your pumpkins(s) with the team. They will ensure it's ready for you to return to decorate within a couple of weeks, so you can paint it at your leisure. We will glaze and fire it, ready for you to collect in two weeks.
The price for the whole experience is £45, which includes all materials, teaching, glazes, and two lots of firing. It also covers your return painting session of two hours. If you wish to add some extra sparkle, you can pay an additional fee for a lustre firing after decorating. Today, you're paying a £20 non-refundable deposit to secure your place.
This is an adults-only session; We will look to offer some pumpkin-making sessions aimed at our younger visitors after school or during weekends, so watch out for these.
