Tales of the Night uses colorful backgrounds with black silhouetted character reminiscent of shadow puppets to bring 6 fairy tales from around the world to life!
Friday, June 20 at 2pm:
The Secret of Kells is a 2009 animated fantasy drama about the making of the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript from the 9th century.
Monday, June 23 at 2pm:
Ernest & Celestine, a shifting pastel color palette bursts and drips across the screen. Wonderful storytelling & brilliant comic timing draw up influences as varied as Buster Keaton, Bugs Bunny and the outlaw romanticism of Bonnie and Clyde.
Monday, July 7 at 5pm:
A Letter to Momo is a wonderfully expressive and beautifully hand-drawn tale that combines bursts of whimsy and kinetic humor with deeply felt emotion & drama.
We will finish our series with Okko's Inn, we are partnering with the Historic Hoosier Theater on July a8 at 6pm, to bring you a theater experience. Patrons get in free to view, Okko's Inn, a movie which delivers a rare ghost story that is firmly grounded in the trials and joys of humanity.
