Family Camping in Discovery Grove

Location: Discovery Grove – Sachem Public Library
Grab your gear (and your imagination) and join us for a playful, hands-on camping adventure right in the heart of Discovery Grove! Designed especially for families with young explorers, this outdoor session introduces basic camping skills in a fun and accessible way.
We’ll kick things off with a guided tent setup—parents and kids working together to create a cozy camp space. Along the way, we'll share simple tips to make your next real camping trip safer, smoother, and more exciting. After the hands-on portion, families will enjoy a well-earned treat courtesy of a visiting ice cream truck.
This session is part skill-building, part storytelling, and all about connection—with each other and the natural world. Spaces are limited, so grab your spot and get ready to camp out, library-style!
