SJ NOW Indivisible Fundraiser - ART SALE Featuring the Artwork of Ellen Barnett

Ellen Barnett is a Mixed Media Artist whose art chronicles where she has lived and what she was experiencing. An
interest in Asian Art after living in Japan and studying Chinese Sumi painting; fabric collage while running a retail
consignment shop; pastels experiencing plein air painting; an adventurous experimenting with watercolors during a
difficult time, and painting in a circular format while studying Zen.
Ellen earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rutgers University, Camden, NJ and a Master of Fine Arts degree in
Book Arts /Printmaking from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. One of her prints appears in the book,
Philadelphia Images and a printed quilt of Fauna and Flora of the Pine Barrens is in the permanent collection of the
Pemberton Library in New Jersey. She exhibits at local art shows and has received numerous awards. Her work is in
many private collections.
Ellen is a retired Art Center instructor, a past President of the Willingboro Art Alliance, and a former Gallery Director
at Virtua-Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, NJ and at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, NJ.
