This World Is Not Our Home

We are alive therefore we will die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, yet very few of us have really come to terms with this fact.
In this monthly class series, we will study the Buddhist insight into death and dying, helping us to develop an awareness of our own mortality in a way that will totally transform our life. 💫
It is recommended that, if possible, you attend the 9am 'Prayers for the Recently Deceased' practice, held directly before this class. 🙏🏼
This series is based on the book "Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully" by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, which is available in our bookstore. In this inspiring book, we learn that, instead of something to be feared or denied, death can become a positive experience, as coming to terms with our mortality enriches our life and enables us to meet our passing with dignity, confidence, and joy.
We will study special Buddhist practices to help us make the most of our human life, to prepare for death, and to help others who are dying.
Time: 10 – 11:15 am
Everyone welcome.
