New StoryWalk Book Walkthrough! – Monday, July 7 at 11 a.m. or at any time
There’s a new book in the StoryWalk that spans ELANCO Library and Garden Spot Village! This season’s book is Mouse Paint by Ellen Walsh.
StoryWalks are designed to encourage two positive activities, reading books and taking a walk; with a view to promoting literacy, parental involvement, physical movement/activity, and positive community relationships. People of all ages are encouraged to read a children’s picture book while walking along a short path, sometimes with prompts to discuss a question or do an activity at each post.
On Monday, July 7 at 11 a.m., immediately following our regularly scheduled Music & Movement, persons of all ages are invited to join us outside the library to follow the StoryWalk path and read the StoryWalk book, Mouse Paint by Ellen Walsh, together. (All are also welcome to walk the path and read the book at any time!)
The StoryWalk here is a joint venture between ELANCO Library and Garden Spot Village. Garden Spot Village installed the posts and the first book, and ELANCO Library will select and install a new book in the stands approximately every three months. The blue line in the map depicts the path of the StoryWalk from the library through the Garden Spot Village campus.
