Comprehensive Planning 101

Have you ever wondered how parcels of land become classified as commercial, industrial, residential, or greenspace? Have you witnessed a property being developed or an unused area being transformed into a park and wondered why?

All of these land transformations are a part of a process called comprehensive planning, a process which Dearborn County, Indiana is actively going through!

Join Green Umbrella’s Greenspace Alliance on Wednesday, July 2nd from 4:00 – 5:30 pm at the Lawrenceburg Public Library to learn about what a comprehensive planning process is, how it contributes to greenspace conservation, and the work the Alliance is doing to expand awareness about it!

This training session will enable you to explore the world of comprehensive planning and equip you with a baseline understanding of the process.

Hear from the Dearborn County Plan Commission about their upcoming public meeting to update the comprehensive plan. Additionally, learn how the Dearborn County Soil and Water Conservation District incorporates comprehensive planning into their conservation efforts.

This event is free but registration is requested. Register here: https://greenumbrella.org/event/comprehensive-planning-101/
