Shibori Napkins

Shibori uses age old Japanese techniques of manipulating cloth by folding, tying, and submerging it into an indigo dye vat to create striking designs. In this 3 hour workshop for beginners you will learn various shibori methods and make a set of unique, coordinated cotton table napkins. We will also cover the preparation of cloth and the dye vat. By the end of class you will be knowledgeable enough about the process to try more advanced methods of shibori.

***Dying cloth is a messy, drippy activity. Please wear old clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting stained with indigo dye.
