Herb Identification Make & Take Classes
Class Dates: Sunday, April 6th 1pm-3pm and the following Tuesdays 5pm to 7pm: May 20th, June 17th, July 15th, August 19th, and September 16th
Join herbalist Heather Mashuga, M. A. for an informative herb identification walk. We will meet at Garden expressions in New Richmond. You'll learn how to recognize beneficial local flora through the seasons, and sustainably use these plants in your daily life for health and well-being. You'll also get to make and take home an herbal tincture and receive informative handouts so that you can use your newfound knowledge again and again.
INSTRUCTOR BIO: Heather Mashuga recognized her passion for plants and herbalism while earning her master’s degree in holistic health studies with a concentration in herbalism from St. Catherine University. She practices traditional Western herbalism and has been a practitioner and teacher for eleven years. Heather incorporates knowledge and traditions of herbal medicine descending from various heritages, as well as findings from biomedical studies, research, and her own experiences.
