Project: Sew Your Own Satchel Bag

Sometimes called a messenger bag, a cross body bag, courier bag… Whatever name you prefer, we’ll be making a useful little bag with an adjustable shoulder strap, ready to fit all the basic items you need on the go. Starting with a simple, lined satchel, we can add pockets, zippers and other fixings based on your skill and comfort level.

How to choose the correct fabric for your project
Cutting and preparing fabric and fixings
Optional zip closures and pockets
Sewing a complete bag

This is an ideal class for sewists who know their way around a sewing machine, who are able to thread your sewing machine, change bobbins and troubleshoot basic issues.
