The 250th Anniversary of the United States will be celebrated this next year. To get you ready, a presentation will be at our next meeting, this coming Saturday, by Jennifer Bartling. She will be demonstrating and teaching our group how to make an American flag, a mini-flag, to have for the Anniversary.
The flag will be approximately 2" x 3" or 3" x 5". If making a small flag you can use thread. Yarn for a bigger flag.
You will need worsted yarn in three colors of red, white, and blue. If you want an antique look to the flag, you can use dusty or muted colors of yarns.
You will need a pair of standard size knitting needles, in size 8 or 9, or 10 if using a bulky yarn. That general range.
Jennifer will also bring a couple of other little flags that she has made, to show us at the meeting,
Also, yearly membership dues are due now. If you haven't paid them yet, bring your check.
