Color Our World - Summer Reading at McBride

June begins Summer Reading - Color Our World at McBride! Reading is the ideal summer activity. It’s fun, portable, and can involve the whole family. Summer Reading programs were established for children with the purpose to prevent the "summer slide,” maintain or enhance reading skills, and foster a love of reading while school is out. However, the love of reading can be found and benefit anyone at any age, so McBride encourages the community to join it’s multi-generational Summer Reading program.

After registering for Summer Reading at www.mcbridelibrary.org, stop by McBride to pick up your Summer Reading supplies, starting June 1, 2025:

Children will receive a reading map that will take them on an adventure that encourages them to keep reading with prizes along the way.

Teens will be able to request Loot Boxes that will contain a variety of goodies and their Book-opoly Board. To request/ re-request a Loot Box visit www.mcbridelibrary.org, after registering for Summer Reading.

Adults can pick their Book Bingo card that will double as a raffle ticket, once five challenges in a row have been completed.
