4th Friday Art on the Town/Featuring Daphney Walker

Hello fellow art lovers! It’s getting hot in here, so take off… Ooooops, wrong venue! Just kidding! Speaking of hot!, we would like to welcome Daphney Walker, photographer extraordinaire to 4th Friday this month.
Daphney is a Registered Nurse and has worked in the healthcare field for over 40 years. Finding her specialty was primarily in the field of long term care for the elderly and patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Along with Covid and social unrest across the country Daphney had to seek an outlet as not to fall into the sadness and despair of the times.
She liked to write poetry and was encouraged to write her story but found it difficult. She tried taking pictures and her journey with photography was born, which became a hobby and a way to capture her peace through wildlife, flowers, the ocean and other things nature has to offer.
“I am dedicating this event to those who have suffered from the effects of trauma in hopes that they too will find a way to heal and come to a place that brings them joy and peace.”
