ABC LGBTQ+ Issues: Code Switching

Acceptance, Belonging & Community (ABC) sessions afford LGBTQ+ people and allies alike an opportunity to learn more about aspects of our community they may have questions about. This month, we will discuss code switching, the practice of adjusting one’s language or behavior based on the surrounding environment. We’ll discuss the reasons for code switching, its relationship to identity and self-perception, and intersectionality.
